TPT ONLINE TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
TIME
The TPT online tournaments will initially be held on a weekly basis, each tournament to take place at 8:00 p.m. on PokerStars (Next tourney is March 27). TPT will expand to two Online Tournaments per week depending on response.
POINTS
TPT Online Tournament participants will be awarded TPT points. 25 points per entrant will go to the Tourney Payout. Points earned will be determined based on the TPT Tourney Payout tables (available here). No participation points or top-half finish points will be awarded for Online Tournaments.
PRIZES
Individual Online Tournament winners will receive a prize sponsored by PokerStars for their accomplishment. Prizes for individual Online Tournaments will be determined at the sole discretion of TPT and based on availability … basically, we will award what we are able to round up.
In addition, TPT will crown an Online Season Champion based on total points accumulated through Online Tournaments. PokerStars.net will award a one-of-its-kind SIGNED Marcel Luske PokerStars hat to the Season Champion. Other prizes will be awarded based on availability.
ONLINE LEADERBOARD
In order for players to be able to track their Online Tournament performance, TPT will introduce an “Online Leaderboard” available at the “Results” tab on the TPT website. The Leaderboard will be available starting Monday, March 7, 2011.
REQUIREMENTS FOR PLAY
1. TPT utilizes the PokerStars Home Game feature to host Online Tournaments. Therefore, you must have a PokerStars account (real or play money). The account is FREE. We can help you create and account or you can create it on your own in five minutes, here: pokerstars.com.
- When you sign up on PokerStars, make sure to list your Country as Taiwan. When it asks how you heard about PokerStars, you must click “other” and type Taiwan Poker Tour in the box below.
2. Your PokerStars account must list your country as Taiwan.
3. Players must play at least two live TPT events to be eligible for any Online Tournament.
4. To play in any Online Tournament, a player must have played in live event over the two weeks prior to the start date of the online tourney.
5. Online Tournaments are currently limited to 50 entrants due to software restrictions. In the event greater than 50 players desire to play in any Online Tournament, TPT shall, in its sole discretion, determine how seats are to be chosen among the players. Attendance at live events will be given priority. Buying Mike and I beers at On Tap will garner priority. Emailing hot pics of yourself to us may or may not garner favor.
6. TPT reserves the right to change any and/or all of these rules, in our sole discretion, for the betterment of the league. Yah, we roll like that.
